SALES / DISTRIBUTION.

Our Sales Team is key to our success and ensuring successful long-term relationships with our customers. The mission of the Sales division, particularly the team focused on new customer acquisitions, is to counter the various recruiting challenges faced by our customers with the right products by providing targeted, comprehensive advice.
From the first time new customers are contacted via telephone, to product demonstrations, customer visits and attending trade fairs, the tasks undertaken by our twenty or so Sales colleagues are diverse and exciting.

The recruiting market is dynamic like virtually no other market, and has almost boundless potential. The Sales team is responsible for advising our customers on the right recruiting strategies for them and offering them our product solutions. Thanks to our product promise, we will communicate in a transparent manner right from the outset, creating the basis for successful customer relationships in the long-term and ensuring a win-win situation for both sides.

Our Sales team is made up of specialists focused on the acquisition of new customers, along with specialists in existing customer support. Most of our colleagues are based locally in Kolbermoor and work with customers on a virtual basis. Some of this work involves field sales in the newer markets and representing joblocal in the respective region.

MY STORY

My name is Sophia and I work in Sales here at joblocal. I’m primarily responsible for looking after existing customers. I had to interview one of the Managing Directors, Basti, as part of my Master’s thesis, and it was then that we started talking about whether I could see myself joining joblocal.

MY EVERYDAY TASKS AT JOBLOCAL

The easiest way to describe my job is that I am responsible for looking after corporate customers who post jobs via our online job forums, and advising them to promote themselves as an attractive employer in the region. You need to have excellent negotiating skills and the power of persuasion to do this job, along with a confident appearance – it's essential to be able to stand fully behind the product that you’re selling.

MY ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHTS WORKING FOR JOBLOCAL

A fantastic team spirit reigns supreme here. It doesn't matter whether you're cooking something together, pushing for those last few sales at the end of the month or attending various corporate events like the Christmas party – everyone sticks together and we have each other's back, which makes it really good fun. My highlight was signing up a major customer in Berlin, but there have also been a number of smaller highlights that reinforce the fact I made the right choice to join joblocal. For me personally, joblocal is all about fun, team spirit and ambition.

WHAT’S IT LIKE WORKING
WITH ME

I'm very cooperative; it doesn't matter who asks a question, what they ask and when they ask it, I’m always on hand to assist and will try and help anyone. But sometimes I can also be very impatient as well!

MY DREAM CAREER AND WHAT BECAME OF IT

As a child, I always wanted to work in a medical capacity, either as a nurse or perhaps a doctor. Then I wanted to be a vocational teacher working in business education, but that didn't materialise either. I then studied Business Administration and took a different path, but it was nevertheless a really good choice.

WHO WOULD I REALLY LIKE TO SWAP JOBS WITH

I’d really like to swap jobs with Hannes for one day as I think online marketing is really exciting: there are so many important issues at stake and you can also gain a really profound insight into things here.

WHAT WOULD I SAY TO MY 16-YEAR-OLD SELF

Based on what I currently know, I would advise myself to really choose a career that I’m personally interested in. I'd say focus on my interests and the things I’m passionate about, rather than allow my parents to really influence me.
